A Taste of Brittany: Savory Galettes & Sweet Crêpes
Learn the art of French crêpe-making — from sweet lemon-sugar classics to traditional egg, ham and cheese buckwheat galettes. In this hands-on culinary experience, guests will learn how to prepare traditional French crêpes from scratch — both sweet and savory — using classic techniques. We’ll cover batter preparation, cooking methods, and flavor pairings, while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere with local cider pairing.
What you’ll learn
- The history and tradition of French crêpes
- How to make sweet and savory crêpe batter (including naturally gluten-free buckwheat batter)
- How to properly spread, flip, and fold crêpes using traditional tools
- Tips for recreating artisan crêpes at home with everyday tools
- Seasonal and local topping pairings

- Each guest will get to eat one savory galette and one sweet crepe

- Local cider or artisan lemonade pairing
- Each guest will go home with a small homemade treat — it might be salted butter caramel, a seasonal jam, or another French delight from our kitchen.
